While I believe some people have unrealistic expectations on how cheap Magic should be (and we'll talk more about this later), I 100% agree that Magic is too expensive and have dedicated a lot of time and effort to fighting for more and better reprints and the end of the Reserved List
While you opening a Tree of Redemption in your $10 pack does mean that someone, somewhere is happily opening a Jace, the Mind Sculptor in their pack, this doesn't really do much to soften the blow of the bad boxes and packs that will be fairly common with Masters 25
It's a charming addition to any collector's collection and a great investment with a future

While a number of the cards from this set have aged poorly (looking at you, Skyshroud Behemoth), a number were notable threats at that time but dont quite make the cut on this modern value-based list: Lin Sivvi, Defiant Hero was the engine for Rebel decks from this era, Saproling Burst slotted perfectly into Fires of Yavimaya decks (and also formed an instant-win combo with Pandemonium), and Rising Waters fueled a brutal control deck alongside the various Stax pieces and counterspells from sets of this era
